I was charged for an item I placed a bid on, I did NOT have the Total amount that the seller was ask

But you DID authorize eBay to remove the amount of the winning bid (plus relevant tax & shipping costs) at the time you confirmed your bid. Otherwise your bid would NOT have been accepted.

Iâ€™m afraid you filed a false report with your bank if you claimed otherwise.

Many Sellers have their accounts set up to require that a Buyer has a payment method on file before they can place a bid. When that happens, the Buyer should see a statement that they will be charged immediately.

When a Buyer opens a "chargeback" claim with their bank, that automatically voids their eBay protection under the Money Back Guarantee. It will now be up to your bank to make the final decision regarding your funds.
