If the charge is USPS, there is a link in your notification email to appeal the extra charge.
If it is UPS or Fedex my friend @comics-scifi-collectibles will hopefully come by to explain how to appeal those.
Fedex in particular can add many extra surcharges that you may not be aware of when you purchase your label.
Examples
- Tubes - do not ship in a round tube, use a triangle or square box
- Soft packs - ship in a box, not a bag or stretch wrap
You must enter the actual weight and actual dimensions (round up) when requesting your label.
If you tell me more about your packages, I can maybe help sort this out.

Mentor1 year ago@chetter15. Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the Fed Ex customer. I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that Fed Ex does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the Fed Ex website.
Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.
Here's how to contact eBay general customer service:
eBay agents are working from home so you have to request a call back or live chat.
1. CLICK THIS LINK:

3. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
