I wanted to obtain better context over a return with different info on outcomes(likely do to a site glitch)

Hi. A few months ago i bought a computer heatsink that was advertised wrong. The seller faught tooth and nail to avoid taking responsibility. Despite the sellers adamant no return policy the falsified info on the listing caused ebay to accept the return. However while ebay did tell me upon the items arrival at the sellers house of me receiving my refund the seller opened a case when ebay almost immediately resolved in his favor. The ca se claimed that the payment method I used was "not covered by ebay money back garrentee even though I paid for the item via credit card."
However despite this the item listing on my profile says I received a return in direct contrast to the item resolution page. Is this a glitch on the site of some sort. I can't seem to figure it out.

Mentor1 week agoThis seems to have been a strange decision. I would suggest you contact eBay customer service through Instagram since these customer service reps are USA based and more experienced at solving problems.
You can contact these customer service agents by sending a private message on Instagram. Your message should contain your full name, user ID and a brief explanation of your problem. You can use this link: https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/ eBay will verify your account before responding so this does take time. These agents work 6am to 6pm Pacific Time Monday to Friday.

OP1 week agoI'll give it a shot, but I will be honest that I don't use my Instagram account at all. It's not even connected to my ebay account. What should I do to make them see the correlation between my ebay account and instagram account?

Some computer items can be listed as Classified listings so the checkout is completed offsite and not covered by the eBay MBG.
I'd need to see the listing to see if that is the problem.

The item was indeed covered by rays money back garrentee. I used my Visa credit card to buy it.

You can NOT mention the sellers user ID here in the community. Mods archived your post but I am still able to see it, the public can't and we don't get notifications for archived posts.
I can not find a seller with the USER ID that you shared in the photo. It says no user found for the US site. I don't know if they are registered on another site. A seller can not close their own account so soon after the sale.
NOR can I find a sold item with that item number.
Did you reach out to customer service on Instagram as @jacbarcollectibles suggested? That is your best option.

The only other option is a chargeback with your payment method. Save this option for LAST because once you go to your payment method eBay can no longer assist you.
Something is VERY odd with this transaction.

OP1 week agoWell the page for the item has mostly been erased right now. All that remains is an image of the product. Strangely when I go to the sellers profile I don't see any products for sale which is another big anomaly. Strange.
