I Want to Pick Up My Purchase

When I bid on an auction the seller allowed this to be picked up from his home.
Two days before the auction ended I called eBay to be sure that this could be done.
I won the auction and Ebay won't let me pick it up from the seller.
I live about 5 miles from the seller.
I'd rather pick it up than have it shipped.
This was the agreement I had with ebay.
I contacted the seller and he agreed that I could pick up the item.
I was charged for the shipping charge and I did not agree to that.
I talked to the eBay service people and that person had a difficulty understanding English.
She refused to take off the shipping charge and pick up the item.
I asked her more than 20 times to speak to a supervisor and she did not transfer me to a supervisor.
Any ideas. The seller so far has been excellent. Ebay has been difficult.
