I want to cancel a pick-up order. The buyer bought and paid but never made arrangements to pick up.
The buyer paid but kept delaying pick up. Now it is over three months. Ebay says I can't cancel. So, Ebay has this buyer's money (over$600) and has charged me my seller fees and I can't relist the item. AI assist is no help and I see no option to contact a real human. Arghhhh!

You can only cancel an order for 30 days, you can only refund for 90 days. If the buyer wants to seek a refund, he will have to open a dispute through his credit card. If this happens, you will be out of pocket for the eBay fees.
If the item sold over 90 days ago, the details are gone so you cannot use relist. You will have to start a new listing.
The buyer cannot contact you through their purchased item, but perhaps they will contact you through your new listing. If you have not already sent him your info for pickup, you will not be able to share contact info.
If he does contact you, I would remove the new listing until you find a way to resolve the issue with the original buyer - no point in compounding the issue by selling the item a second time.

OP5 months agoThank you so much. By the time I read your message I had already figured out much of what you said. I realized that I had received the payout. The problem is the buyer is in Florida and I am in Pennsylvania. She has stopped communicating with me so I have messaged her on her private email that if the item is not picked up within 30 days, it will be considered abandoned property.
Thanks again for your help!
