Question

I want to ask if I buy products here, will there be a warranty?I'm looking to buy a vacuum cleaner

@thaol-5079 I wanted to clarify that manufacturers usually do NOT honor the warranty unless the item is sold by authorized retail location.

Also if a seller is offering free shipping on a vacuum cleaner 100% chance they are dropshipping from another site so I recommend you do some price comparison research.

Hi @thaol-5079

It depends on the particular vacuum cleaner and the listing.

eBay does not automatically provide a warranty on every item, so check the listing carefully to see whether a manufacturer warranty, seller warranty, or protection plan is included.

You may also see an option to add an Allstate Protection Plan when purchasing the item. You may remember these as SquareTrade plans - SquareTrade is now an Allstate company and still services the plans.

If the protection plan option appears on the listing, you can add it before checkout. Eligible purchases may also give you another opportunity to add the plan on the payment confirmation page or through an email after the purchase.

If you do not see the option, I would call Allstate/SquareTrade shortly after purchasing and ask whether that particular vacuum is eligible for a protection plan. Eligible eBay protection plans generally need to be purchased within 30 days of the item purchase.

Also keep in mind that a protection plan is different from eBay Money Back Guarantee. If the vacuum arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, that would normally be handled through eBay’s buyer protection process rather than a warranty claim.

If you have a particular vacuum cleaner in mind, post the item number or link and we can help you check what warranty or protection options that listing offers.
