I want ebay to get involved to settle this dispute but ebay is clearly involved in this scam because
The sellers ad states the jar is 1.7 oz but they sent me a 1 oz jar. I contacted the seller (ebay says they have 3 days to respond) and it has been 5 days. Yesterday the seller asked me to send them pictures of the jar (the same jar that appears in their ad). For WHAT? I do not own a camera and my telephone does not take pictures so I cannot post a picture. The seller knows they tried to run a scam. I did contact ebay yesterday but clearly ebay is involved in this scam because they blew me off!

Did you file a Return Request? Did you specify the reason "Does not match description/photos"?
If you are unable to attach a photo to your Return Request you can contact Ebay and ask them to help you with your Return Request.
Use the link below, and you can request a call back from Ebay by clicking “Chat with our automated assistant†on the left side of the page. Then type "AGENT" at the bottom in the chat box. You will see an option to request a call back or chat with a CS rep.

Available Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 09:30 pm Pacific Time.

OP2 years agoYes. I did file a return request and I did click on 'chat with our automated assistant' and I did ask to chat with an 'agent' and I was blown off! This is a scam and clearly ebay is involved.

Ebay takes Return Requests seriously and Ebay will step in to help buyers when necessary. What reason did you choose when you filed the Return Request?
How did the Ebay agent "blow you off"?

Mentor2 years agoThe seller had 3 business days to respond - Sat & Sun & holidays do not count.
Customer service can help you open a return request without a photo, if you have not opened one yet. If your return is already open, wait until you see the option ‘ask us to step in’ - eBay will either send you a return label or a refund.
To speak to customer service, use the link on the left side of this page “have us call you†- https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10
If you don't see 'have us call you' right under the chat link, click chat. Then at the bottom of the chat topics, click more, then click contact an agent.
