I think mail carrier stole my mail
i think the mail carrier might have stole 2 items that i sold. She didn't scan the items when she picked them up and the status has been stuck at pre-shipment. Anyone have any suggestions on a great way to rectify this?

It is very common for a carrier not to scan every package they pick up.
You can go to the USPS site and request tracking updates via text.
You could contact your post office, but I would caution you not to accuse your carrier of mail theft. That is a very serious federal offense. By doing that, the post office could refuse to pick up your packages.

@fashionsandbeauty4u is absolutely correct. If theft is involved with every missed scan, we'd have to set aside a whole state to have room to turn it into a prison for missing-scan offenders. (OK, that might be a slight exaggeration.)
If you didn't provide the carrier with a scan form, he had no obligation to scan your packages. If you left your packages for pickup instead of handing them to your carrier, it may have been your carrier or a sub who picked them up. Or they could have been stolen before the carrier even got there. If you handed your carrier the packages, you could easily have watched him scan the scan form.
If you're not familiar with using scan forms, you can get one when you use bulk shipping to print your labels. Even if you have just one package to send, go to All orders and pick that package along with one you've already shipped to get started. Then delete the one you are NOT shipping from the label's order list. Once you've purchased your labels, you'll find the scan form link at the top right off the page where you will download your labels and also print a receipt containing a list of labels you purchased.
