I went open my eBay app and it showed dtt8095 for my user name but my user name is thielker123. I changed my password. When I looked at the dtt8095 account it said it was opened in May 2023 and it wasnâ€™t opened by me. My address phone etc. was in the account and nothing was up for sale. So it let me change the info so I put up random information I made up because I didnâ€™t want my info in there. @dtt8095 It sounds like you made a second account by mistake. This can happen easily if you use social sign in such as FB etc.

I can see from your profile page that this account that you are posting with has been open since May 5 2023.

You need to log out of this account. On the app go to My eBay at the bottom of the screen. Next select Settings from the list and then Sign Out.

After you sign out open the app again and then Sign in with your old user ID and select Forgot Password if you don't remember it.

You can contact Trust and Safety customer service and have them walk you through these steps if it doesn't work for you.

Are you doing this on the app or on a computer?
(If a computer, is it possible that someone in your household created dtt8095?)

Try signing out of dtt8095 account and signing in with your old account name and password.

----First, write down the User name and password for both accounts, then

A) To log out on a phone:

Go to your phone. Open the app
Click the My eBay Icon at the bottom
Click Settings at the top
Scroll down to "sign out" in the first section

You are now logged out of the "phone" account

Click the My eBay Icon at the bottom
It will ask you to log in with an email or user name (or apple/Facebook/google)

==>> log in with the ORIGINAL account information your prior eBay User Name

Enter the user name and password
(don't use any default login saved on your phone)

B) to log out on a computer

Go to the website on your computer
Click your name in the upper left "Hi --"
Select Sign Out.

Click "Sign In Again"
Then "Switch Account"

Enter the User Id and password from the "original account"
