I think I’m being defrauded and eBay is non-responsive
I purchased an item a week ago. Seller is silent. I’ve messaged 5 times. I asked to cancel since it seems like they’re a ghost. Then I notice the item is the first thing they’ve sold, they just joined eBay in August, and it’s a $300 item. To say I’m spooked is an understatement. I want eBay to intervene as I need the money from the item to buy a replacement if the seller won’t respond. I requested a cancellation on day 3. On day 5, seller declined my cancellation, no message, still no tracking on day 7… why can’t I get a human from eBay to address my concerns???

Mentor11 months agoSellers are not obligated to agree to cancellation requests.
Some sellers do not use tracking.
Go to your Purchase History and click on Order Details next to the item title to see if the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond after 3 business days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

-You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
-You have to wait one day past the original estimated delivery to file a claim that you did not receive the shipment. The claim will be 3 days long and the Seller has the opportunity to upload a tracking number during that time period. If they don't you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
-Buyers cannot cancel and Sellers can decline or not respond to a cancellation request. Smart Sellers will to avoid issues down the road.
-eBay will not intervene at this point but if you want to make contact with them you have some options:
-You can request a call back from eBay during west coast business hours here: eBay Customer Service
-Contacting eBay via Social Media:
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
