I think buyer if defrauding me

Question

I shipped a Lladro figurine and buyer is saying they got a piece of metal. They didn't contact me and instead went directly to eBay for a refund. What should I do at this point? Thanks for any help. Steve J

Turns out that UPS delivered someone elses shipment to my buyer. They also had my label on that wrong box. How the heck does that happen? Anyway, it all got straightened out. Thanks everyone.

If they filed an INAD, you have two options.

Refund and let them keep it.

Accept the return, provide a shipping label, then refund once something is returned.

If they do send back a different item, report the buyer for abusing the MBG.

File mail fraud with USPS and a police report, then use the reports to appeal the case.
