I think a buyer is trying to swindle me. Seems the sellers has no protection against this.
I sell Mikrotik routers from time to time as I work with them everyday. I sold a router last week that I tested before I put up for sale. In my ad I provided MAC addresses & logs of the device to show all is well. If you are not aware these MAC addresses are unique to the device & do not change.
As soon as the product was received there was a request for return saying the device is not working. The picture that was sent to me does not verify it was the same item that was sent to them. I have sent back a message asking to show me the entire product with the MAC Address to confirm it is the same.
Long story short I have not heard back since then. For all I know it is just a similar product that is defective that they have. Now my funds are on hold & I have less than a week to resolve this.
If they do send pictures/video of the product with the same MAC as in my ad I will issue a refund no problem. Even so there is no guarantee that is the product that will be returned to me. It just seems that I am in more of a position to lose.
