I sold and shipped an item and the order is not showing up on order page.
I have been selling on eBay for over 24 years and thought that I had seen everything. I once had a buyer claim that there were bed bugs inside an American Girl doll that I sold her, all so that she could to try to finagle a discount. Another buyer requested to return a new, sealed Lego set, 1 & 1/2 years after purchase, claiming that a “bunch" of pieces were missing. But, this latest is very bizarre.
I recently sold an Lego minifigure and shipped it. The buyer receive it and said that it had a scratch that had not mentioned in the listing. He was correct and I offered a $10 refund or the option to return it. The problem is that the transaction has completely disappeared from my ebay page. Soon after this discovery, I received a notification that the same item sold again to a new buyer. Thinking that I had double listed the item, I quickly cancelled the latest transaction, explaining that the item had been previously sold. Meanwhile, the original buyer tells me that the transaction has disappear from his page as well. It is as though the transaction never happened, including not receiving a payout from it. The shipping label that I printed to ship the package is not even showing up under the link for shipping labels. It is not possible to have printed a label, if the item had not been sold. All that I have are the messages between the buyer and myself, showing reference to the sold transaction. I would post the screen shot, but it displays the buyers personal information. Please advise. Thank you.

Mentor2 years agoFor the American Girl doll, I would invite the buyer to return the item for a full refund. It sounds like she is using the bed bug reason to try and get a discount. I would have tossed out the bed bugs and not contacted the seller.
