I sold an Item, Customer wants me to delay shipping until the 29th due to him being on vacation

I sold an item on my page, and the customer messaged me and asked me to delay the shipping until the 29th because they are currently away on vacation. How do I do this without it affecting my on-time delivery metric. I'm still very new to eBay so any information would be greatly appreciated

If you wait to ship until the 29th, you will receive a defect for late shipping. One won't hurt you, but don't get any more since your account is new. You could message the buyer and let them know about the defect for delayed shipping, but you can file a Cancellation for Problem with buyer's address (that will refund the buyer from your funds), and you will relist the item for the buyer to repurchase after he is back home.
