I sold a tablet in a case keyboard and stylus they broke it dropped it scratched it and then returned it. I went through the steps and it told me to return the money and on the next page I can deduct 25 50% but that never happened
Summary: bobbybeaty expressed frustration about selling a tablet with a keyboard and stylus that was returned damaged. They describe detailed evidence from photos indicating the buyer caused the damage, including scratches and a bent stylus. Despite following return steps, they were unable to deduct any costs to cover the damage from the refund.
You can zoom into their pictures and see where they drop the tablet with the keyboard because there's wood from the table that they took the picture from stuck into the keyboard that didn't wipe it out you got to zoom into the picture and the stylus you can't even see a crack unless you bend it slightly and I've never seen a stylist break from dropping you can drop a stylus from a-story building and it's not going to break they intentionally broke my stylus by bending it cuz you can't even see a crack unless you bend it that's the only way I was able to even see it when it got back to me they scratched the stickers off they scratched it up you can see the plastic peeled up in one of the pictures if you zoom in to any of these pictures you'll see what I'm talking about but the plastic is kind of rolled up at the end where you can tell it's fresh but definitely you can see the color in the keyboard in one of the scratches where they dropped it is the same color as the table they took the picture of the tablet on

Mentor1 month ago@bobbybeaty I understand that this is frustrating. Since you are not offering Free Returns you can not reduce the refund amount by up to 50%. Be sure to report the buyer for return abuse. Free Returns may sound scary but it is the best option or buyers can just SAY an item is not as described to make you take an item back.
If the buyer abuses the eBay MBG in some way then you can report them but it doesn't get your money back:

Sellers have protection for return abuse if they offer FREE RETURN shipping on their listings OR if they are a Top Rated seller and offer 30 days or greater returns. The seller can then reduce the refund amount by up to 50% if the buyer sends a different item or somehow reduces the value of the item.
