I sent the wrong item and the seller refuses to send it back until I send what they paid for.

I e sent a prepaid envelope for the buyer to send the wrong item to the right buyer. When I see you hat it has been sent I’ll send him the correct item. He refuses and says that I’m harassing him?

First of all, the item must come back to you and then you ship it to the correct buyer. You are not allowed to disclose personal information about one buyer to another. You also need to ensure that it is the correct item, in listed condition, and wrapped well before you send it back out.

Since the buyer has no legal obligation to return the item you sent him, you may as well accommodate his wishes. I understand that you don't trust him, but he also doesn't trust you. And so far, all he knows about you is that you sent something he didn't order and you error is causing him to be inconvenienced to help you out.
