I screwed up
I just got an e-bay account like a week ago. When I got in I started bidding on stuff. I was on for a couple hours bid on bunch of stuff. Got tired logged out. I came back in tonight and have bunch of messages saying that I had won items then a bunch of messages saying my orders where canceled and now I cant shop. When I signed up I add to provide a payment source and I did this. I thought that anything I won would automatically be taken. I did not know I had to approve the purchase after I won. If I bid on it I have approved to pay that amount. You should not be able to say 'ah Nah" after you have promised to pay. Anyways because I did not reply I guess I essentially did this. This was not my intention it was just a rookie mistake. I apologize to the sellers I did this too. I sent an e-mail to one seller apologizing but did not have info on the other two. If they happen to read this If you still have the items I will pay for them. I did truly want them. I will even pay a 10% mark up just to say sorry. It wont happen again.... Will I get my right to bid again at some point?

·3 years agoYou have 4 full calendar days to pay for the items you won. Automatic payment only takes place in one special case (an experiment with requiring pre-authorization of payment when making Best Offers that does not include all buyer and all sellers).
How long you are blocked depends on the seller you are trying to buy from. Some don't enable that Buyer Requirement (block) at all. Some enable it but at more lenient parameters than the strictest level of blocking anyone with 2 in the past 12 months (some leave it at the defaults which are the lowest number for each parameter--2 strikes in the past 1 month--some long-time sellers haven't updated it from the old maximum timeframe of 6 months, and some for whatever reason choose to give more than second chances--the choices go up to 100 strikes in the lookback period).
So for the strictest level you will no longer be blocked by any seller (for that reason anyway) 12 months (and 1 day) after your second to last strike was issued (I know eBay no longer uses that term but it's a lot easier to type and comprehend than what the PR types decided eBay would call it). For those who don't have it set you can buy right now (assuming no other issues, such as running into your buying limits or another Buyer Requirement by that seller). For any other combination of x strikes in y months they will not apply to you when your xth to last strike is older than y months.
In addition it is very likely that your eBay buying limits are even lower than they were at the start.
ETA: Your sellers cannot forgive you after the cancellations as far as eBay is concerned. And when you are talking with Customer Service (who might be able to remove one strike) also get them to remove the negative comment that one seller left you for feedback as it is against eBay rules for sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers.

Mentor3 years ago"You have 4 full calendar days to pay for the items you won. " A seller can process a Cancellation due to non payment 96 full hours after the purchase. So that means if someone purchased something at 1:00PM on Sunday and they don't pay, the seller can process the Cancelation due to non payment on Thursday at 1:01PM.
It is 4 full FISCAL days.

Mentor3 years agoI'm very sorry this happened to you. Assuming things when you are dealing with something new can often get us in trouble. It is likely that all those sellers filed cancellations for non payment of the item which is a strike against your account. And if you got a bunch of those, that is why you can't do anything anymore.
Below are some ways to contact Ebay directly. Just be honest with them and see if they will help you get your account back. Keep in mind, do NOT blame Ebay for this as it is not Ebay's fault. You just didn't do any homework before you started shopping to learn what your responsibilities as a buyer are. And that is something you should have done. But you aren't alone. You aren't the first one to do this. I sure hope this works out for you.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
