I returned an item for a refund, but the seller provided the wrong tracking number
Bought a replacement laptop screen for $70. The seller listed my laptop model in the description, but it didn't fit.
Seller accepted the return and sent me a label from UPS. I went to UPS and have the receipt for the item. But the seller gave ebay "42075244" as a tracking number. This is OBVIOUSLY NOT a tracking number. The tracking number is ON THE LABEL THEY SENT ME.
Ebay says I haven't shipped the package because they don't have the correct tracking number. They will close my return tomorrow without providing the refund. The seller received my item but hasn't responded.
How can I get my money back? Ebay should use Optical Character Recognition to read the label and put in the correct tracking number. Feels like another way to screw over unhappy buyers.
