I requested cancellation of a purchase due to an address error and they sent it anyway
I've been a customer since 2015, I'm from Brazil and I was going to buy an item to be delivered to the address of the place I would go to miami. When the purchase was approved, I saw that an address that was not mine was registered. I don't know how that address was there, I've never stayed at that address, it's a house in OPA LOCKA and I can't go there because I'm from Brazil.
Remembering, at the exact moment they approved the purchase, I requested the cancellation and contacted Ebay and the seller that is BestBuy. ebay informed me that I would be able to request a refund of the purchase after the delivery deadline, but now they no longer have the option to open a chat with them and I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Is there anyone I can talk to to find out who owns the house that was delivered, I can pay the shipping to return it or send it to the address I'll be staying at in miami, but I don't know what to do. Do I need to contact some kind of lawyer for them to refund the amount paid?

·2 years agoThere's nothing a lawyer will do for your mistake.
A buyer can ask a seller to cancel an order, but they are not required to.
All you can do is hope who ever is at that address returns the item.
As long as tracking shows the package was delivered to the address given when you paid, they will not refund.
