I refunded a customer but he has yet to send me back my product

What do I do if I sent the wrong prouduct out and then issued him a refund now Iâ€™m waiting for him to send my product back and he has not done it and itâ€™s been months

Sadly you will never see the item ... Buyers are under no obligation to return something once they have been refunded. Lesson learned ... have them Return items FIRST before refunding.

When you refunded before the return, you sent the buyer a gift. Sorry, not much can be done about it. The normal procedure is for the buyer to open a return request, and then everything is handled within eBay's rules and timelines.
