I received an offer for 4 times my asking price for something that is not particularly rare.
My item is commonly listed at prices similar to my asking price. After accepting the offer (hesitantly), I looked at the buyers feedback. There are quite a few feedback entries from various users, but they are all almost identical in wording (and not just “great buyer…†) - very specific phrases repeated in 2/3 or more of the feedback entries. I’m suspicious - I think I should back out of this sale - thanks for your advice!

Has the buyer paid? Generally offers over the asking price, especially way over are a red flag for some type of scam attempt. They usually send a message asking you to contact them off of eBay or for your contact or PayPal (or other payment site) information because they get an error trying to pay. They will then send a fake payment receipt trying to get you to send the item before you realize it is fake.
Ignore any request and wait the 4 full days so you can cancel for non-payment. On the 5th day the option will become available on the cancel page.
