I received an item with a falsified description on where it was made.
Hi. 10 days ago I bought some "LOOLIFL Blue Thread Locker 243 Nuts-Bolts Locker" from a seller named "budget_heaven." I bought the item being convinced by the seller that the product is made in the USA. While being made in the USA isn't a major focus on what I buy, I go out of my way to avoid buying products from countries with poor human rights records in favor of buying items from countries that contain at the very least some form of democratic system. However upon receiving the item in the mail, I inspected the bottle(along with the bag it came with) which stated that it was made in China(it lists what part in China it was made on the label and bag). I complained to the seller and asked for a refund, yet he requests that I pay for shipping instead of taking responsibility over this. I need to know how I can report this. Thank you. Images are attached.

OP8 months agoWell I really hope that opening a return doesn't void an investigation by Ebay's staff over this. I really am worried about the principle of the matter more or less. If anything I just want this guy investigated. That said, i'm sorry if it sounds like i'm downplaying the context. I just want to know where I go from here. That's all.
As for "emailing" customer service I wasn't referring to a direct email. This was what I meant.

I gave you the process eBay gives you to follow. If you choose not to follow it, that's up to you.

OP8 months agoVery well. If returning it is the only option i'll go down that route. I'll do what I can to drag Ebay's customer service into this. The seller doesn't have much empathy over his falsification of the listing(more like none at all).

Mentor8 months agoHi @turkmenbashib
Here's what to do...
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP8 months agoWell I already know this. I just want to report this guy. He himself "accepted" the return, but he's asking me to pay for shipping. Normally this would be acceptable, but the fact that he lied in his description without taking responsibility raises eye brows.

Mentor8 months agoHi @turkmenbashib
If you already know that then you shouldn't be hesitant to follow the process I gave you as the seller pays for the return shipping (whether he wants to or not) for a case opened for an item that is not as described. eBay's Money Back Guarantee trumps the seller's return policy.

OP8 months agoI went to the listing, but couldn't find a dispute option oddly enough. I submitted a report. Hopefully that will be enough.

Since one of the options is to View return details, it sounds like you have already opened a return.
The next step is to ask eBay to step in on day four if the seller doesn't refund or provide a label. If you selected a reason that the item wasn't as described, there is no charge to you for the return.

OP8 months agoSadly the seller is requesting for me to pay for the return. I filed a report, but so far Ebays AI program for overseeing investigations didn't rule in my favor. Baffling, however the email report said:
If you reported content that isn’t listed below, we’ll send a separate email once we’ve made a decision.
Hopefully
this will go somewhere.

This is a report of a listing, it is not a return request.
It looks like you already opened a return request. Click the option to view the return details.
