I received a defective product
I bought a vintage radio
Before purchasing, I asked the seller in eBay messages if everything was working, and he clearly replied, “Yes, all working.†That message is still visible in our eBay chat.
But the radio I received is defective — it doesn’t turn on properly. I have to press the power button many times before it starts, and when it does, it shuts off after a few seconds with very loud static noise.
I opened a return request on October 7, and the seller accepted it on October 8.
He sent me a UK return label, but I’m currently in Saudi Arabia, so I can’t use it.
The listing didn’t clearly describe the real condition of the radio.
I have several videos that clearly prove the radio is defective and not usable at all.
It’s been several days, and the option to ask eBay to step in hasn’t appeared yet.
What should I do in this situation? Can eBay issue a full refund without return since the seller admitted it was “all working†but it’s actually defective?
