I received a counterfeit item and the buyer deleted their account
I started a return last week it just says to send the item back but the seller hasn't responded and there's no button to ask ebay to step in. Not really sure what to do next. -- Thanks!

Normally the option to ask eBay to step in should appear after three business days from starting a case, if the case was opened within thirty days.

If you started the case on time and it has been at least three business days (Monday was a holiday) and the option to ask eBay to step in still does not appear, you might try contacting eBay via Instagram direct message.

OP4 months agoThat actually helps a lot. I gave the item as a gift so I didn't know it was couterfeit immediately. I think it was just outside of 30 days.

After thirty days you may still have recourse through your payment method; many credit cards offer protection for up to six months from the date of purchase.
