I received a charge on my card for a purchase I never made; I only use PayPal, and it was a direct purchase with my card.

Check your eBay account Payments page and see if the card is linked there, perhaps for offers or auctions.
Contact your card issuers for details of the transaction, or to dispute the transaction and get a new card number issued.
