I have been an eBay buyer since Aug 01, 2014 and have made over 450 purchases. In this time I have been scammed 5 times, most of the time it’s for 20 to 30 bucks so I just shine it on. I didn’t feel it’s worth the hassle.
Recently I won an auction from “A Trusted eBay Seller†where the seller issued a second tracking number. The first tracking number said that I received my order and eBay posted that I received my order and wanted feedback.
I never give feedback until I receive what I order, I tried to contact eBay so they could track the right tracking number but couldn’t get past the endless AI assistant loop.
Tracking had the package moving through the mail system. I actually made contact with eBay, I was surprised I had many attempts, and explained what was going on and that I thought it might be fraud, I was asked to wait and give the package a chance to arrive.
As time got closer to my return date ending, I again did my time with the AI, never getting through.
I watched the package be delivered to an address 400 miles from me. I contacted the district USPS manager and found out the package was not even mine. I made contact with eBay, I got someone and was told I waited 2 days too long to file a dispute, but they would look into it. After 10 days I found out that the seller got my 610 bucks, eBay got their commission and I got screwed.
U have purchased 3 laptops from eBays “Trusted Sellers†in the last 2 months and never received any of them.
From this surmised that eBay us more concerned with their commissions than their buyers.
