I purchased inauthentic items
I purchased a bunch of tarot card decks that are still in new condition for a collection and have since found out that they are unauthorized bootleg decks. The purchases were made a year ago from 3 different sellers. One has offered a refund and pulled the items, another has offered a refund only if I open a case, which isn't working when I try to (too long ago?), and the 3rd seller is really being an offensive jerk, they give the vibe that they know they're doing wrong. There are no ISBNs, as I learned to look for, they are not in the right sizes, and not in the correct box-styles, have misspellings. I cannot get quick contact info to actually speak to an ebay customer service rep. I've learned that it's become an epidemic and the artists and creators are being stolen from. Any ideas? Thanks.

Technically you are only covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Any Seller willing to work with you at all this late is to be considered a bonus. It also may be too late to file any claims with your funding source - PayPal or a credit card.

OP10 months agoThank you for replying. I wondered if there was any exception to the return limit due to the fraud factor. I like a suggestion someone gave under a counterfeit books question, which was to let the real publishers know. I'm going to do that. 1 of the 3 sellers is great. The others: 1 standoffish, 1 nasty, couldn't care less, basically telling me to f off. Thank you for being great too! 🙂

You are more than welcome. How you proceed is of course your choice. Trying to get the publishers involved might be beneficial with them putting [pressure on eBay to help in the effort to root out and stop counterfeiters from posting their items on the venue.
