a purchase has disappeared. What happened and why can’t I find out?

Have you double checked your Purchase History? https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/purchase
(also scroll down and look under "Returns & Cancellations")
Do you have any emails from Ebay, such as the Order Confirmation?
