I purchased an item, although it was the same item it was a damaged one and not the item pictured
Summary: yamgriz expressed dissatisfaction with a purchase where the received item was damaged and not as pictured. jacbarcollectibles also mentioned 'None', mirroring the initial post, but did not provide further contribution to the discussion.
I requested a return and the seller claimed that although it was a damaged item it was worth more than I paid for it. The item pictured in the ad was a perfect item with no damage but the one I received was chewed in 3 places by a dog. Ebay closed my return and won't let me appeal it. Its only been 2 weeks. What can I do to get this resolved so I can get my money back. I reached out to seller he still thinks its worth more than I paid for it which might be true but thats not the point. He was deliberatly deceptive with his advertisement.
since the purchase date.

Mentor4 months agoIf you opened a normal return request then you can try opening an "Item not as described" case which is the one you should have opened. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to open an “item not as described case”. This overrides the sellers return policy. Go to your Purchase History and find the item. Then under “More actions” click on “Return item” and then select the reason for the return as “doesn't match description". It may ask you to attach a photo so the seller and eBay can see what was received. The seller will need to send you a prepaid return label and once the item is returned they have three days to refund you. After this time has passed you would have to go to your payment source to see what help they can give.
