I purchased a remote that was listed as working. It does not work. Seller does not accept returns
My understanding is that if the listing indicates that an item is used but working, the seller must respond if the item does not work. The remote does not work and the seller would have been able to tell before selling it. I have tried to contact the seller multiple times. I received one acknowledgment that the mess was received but no response to my issue. it has been about 3 week since purchase. I have tried a number of ways to contact eBay for help but, as the seller does not accept returns, all end in dead ends. Do I have any options?

The seller’s no returns policy does not apply to defective items.
Go to your purchase history - select return this item. Under reasons select does not match the description, and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to send you a return label or a refund. If he doesn't, or says he can not send a label, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
