I purchased a item thru the "auction" offered by the seller. I was the only bidder
Since I was the only bidder, the item went for what he "started" the bidding for. Two days later I get word from EBAY, that the seller has refunded my money, stating that the original items "were out of stock, or damaged". Being upset with this, I tried to contact him twice, hoping for a response, but that never happened. I didn't WANT the refund, I WANTED the items I had purchased. I warned him that I was taking the matter up with EBAY and I did. I reported the matter & spoke to a representative, but not sure anything will come of it. I truly feel that he didn't get the kind of money he expected, so his only way out was to just refund my money. I wanted to leave a negative (warning to others) how this was handled, but because I didn't RECEIVE the items, and he refunded my money, there wasn't an option for me, so I wasn't allowed to leave the feedback. How else could I have handled it, or is there something else I could do? LC

Mentor5 months agoUnfortunately, ebay cannot force the seller to send the item to you. We always suggest that sellers start the bidding at the lowest price they will accept if they only get one bid. The seller had a defect recorded on his account for being Out of Stock, and did not get the FVF credited. If the seller is a top rated seller, buyers cannot leave a neutral or negative feedback for 7 days. That is time to work things out with the seller. You can try leaving feedback after 8 days.
