I ordered something with the wrong shipping address and asked for a cancellation in under 5 minutes afterwards but the seller declined it what do I do?
Summary: cbrbrennchris shared that they accidentally used their old address for a purchase and requested a cancellation just minutes after the order, but the seller declined the cancellation, citing shipment. The tracking number provided is not showing any updates, and they are uncertain about what steps to take since they no longer have access to the old address.
So I moved recently and like an idiot didn't look until i paid that it used my old address. I noticed this immediately and asked for a cancellation and sent the seller a message within minutes. The seller simply said they cant change the address then i said okay can we just cancel and re-order and they said nothing and a few hours later i got a message saying its shipped now and the the cancellation is declined. The tracking number provided doesn't even come up with anything when put into the shippers website so I'm not sure what to do. I do not have access to that address anymore.

Mentor1 month agoThe seller was not obligated to agree to your request to cancel the transaction.
The seller was required to ship to the shipping address you had on file at the time of purchase.
Best case scenario would be that the item would be returned to the seller so that they can refund you for the price of the item.
