I never received an item I refunded (seller)

Question

I issued a refund for an item, and they haven't sent anything back, or answered my messages. What do I do?

Unfortunately once you have refunded the buyer cannot access any return label you may have sent and they are no longer required to return the item. You only refund once you get the item back. eBay cannot force the buyer to return the item now. If the buyer is willing to return the item then you need to send a return label outside of eBay and hope they actually return the item.

Whoops! Generally, sellers do not issue refunds until after they receive the returned item. Now that the buyer has received a refund, they are not required to return it.
