i need to a return an item that is not in my purchase history, so I cannot contact the seller

Question

I recently ordered an item from a seller and received it. It looks nothing like the picture and it smells so strongly of either a fragrance or something like Febreze I can't keep it. I was shocked to see what it really looked like.

However, this item is not listed in my purchase history and I've tried different ways to access that information.

I cannot contact the seller, unless I first choose the item from my purchase history, but the item I purchased is not there. Seems like a sketchy seller to me. Why would my item not show up in my purchase list.

Also, I never received any notifications from the seller regarding the purchase, a ship date, nothing...

You have inadvertently purchased as a Guest.

First, you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy

Next, you may have inadvertently purchased as a Guest so you will have to log OUT of your eBay account to do anything with the Guest purchase. The email you received should have a link for you and this Help page will assist you as well: Buying as a guest | eBay

On a side note, Guest purchases cannot be merged with an eBay account nor can you leave Feedback on the transaction.
