I need help with a return that was sent back to the buyer because of wrong return label.
A buyer attempted to return an item, but it was sent back to them because I provided an insufficient address on the label. This was entirely my fault, as I forgot to switch my default shipping address from my home to my PO Box.
As soon as I realized the return was being sent back to the buyer, I contacted them immediately to resolve the issue.
I see the item was received today. The shipping status currently reads:
"Delivered
Delivered, In/At Mailbox
DRIGGS, ID 83422
March 28, 2026, 5:56 pm"
which is incorrect as it was actually delivered to their address:
Out for Delivery
SUMMIT, NJ 07901

I have purchased a new return label via Click-n-Ship and sent it to the buyer through eBay messages. I provided both the PDF label for home printing and a QR code for use at the Post Office. To allow for flexibility, I set the label with a future ship date.
The buyer hasn't responded yet, which is perfectly fine. Since it’s Saturday, I don't expect them to be available immediately.
However, I'm facing a 3-day deadline to refund an item I haven't received back yet. Since the chatbot was unhelpful, I’ve emailed eBay support. I’m currently waiting on their 24–48 hour response window to resolve this.
Is there anything else I can do besides hoping the buyer ships the item back to me?
P.S. it seems that I can't attach photos.
