I need help improving my seller ratings. Help
My transaction defect rate is at 2.64%. I had a large number of cancellations of orders 3 moths ago, but since then have had no cancellations. I'm trying hard to get it below 2%; however, I was told I need to improve this by January. I'm running out of time and concerned that eBay may cancel my account. This is not fair.
Any suggestions?

Why did you cancel the items? If you don't have something don't list it. If you have issues managing your inventory then you need to figure that out before selling. You need more transactions regardless of the price to impact the defect rate, it's a numbers game at this point.
You have some work ahead of you and this weekend is a big buying weekend. Make sure you have everything listed, adjust pricing if you want to try and move more items quickly.
Nobody wants to see you fail but at this point the ball is in your court to take action.

OP2 years agoThanks for the feedback. There is more to the story here with my account.
There was a one-time issue I had several months ago due to a supplier delivery issue. It is definitely not a trend on my account and my account history can attest to this fact. I had been a Top Rate Seller for several years prior to this one-time event.
I have been taking action and been close to perfect ever since; however, it's a math equation as you said. At this point, I am guessing I won't make the deadline by January.
What happens if I don't hit the mark?
It seems drastic that my entire account would be shut down over a one-time error. If it's shut down, how do I plead my case to eBay to get reinstated?
