The function you want is the End listing function found on the drop down menu on the left of the item. Ended items will move to your Unsold-Inactive file, go there next and delete them. Listings in that file remain for 90 days or until you delete or relist them.
There are times when listings cannot be Ended or fees apply: Ending a listing | eBay
