I need help. Buyer asking to cancel bids, no idea who they are
I have a number of items up for auction right now and a buyer is asking to cancel bids. I can not confirm who the user ID is and they are saying ' they want to meet me '. There is no way I'm meeting anyone and I need to contact someone at ebay about this.

In addition to the advice @mam98031 has provided you as a Seller can cancel any bid from any Buyer here: Cancel buyer's bids | eBay
You need the eBay item number and the member's ID which appears on the message(s) they send you.
You can also add them to your blocked Buyer's list on this page: Buyer management | eBay

Mentor1 year agoThe buyer should be contacting you from the auction he is bidding on. If so, then it is easy to determine which are his bids in order to cancel them.

It doesn't matter what their ID is. Don't try to fight them cancelling the bids. You can't force people to purchase stuff if they don't want to.
If you were to force them and they ended up purchasing the item, then your next challenge would be getting them to pay. And if you got them to do that, they would like get the item and then file for a return for a full refund.
My point is you aren't going to come out ahead trying to force someone to purchase stuff or deny their ability to cancel bids. It is just part of doing business on Ebay.
