I need an invoice for an item that I purchased after my offer was accepted
I offered an amount for an item, and ebay automatically purchased it when my offer was accepted by the buyer. I only have ordered details without an invoice. How do I get the invoice from ebay, since the seller has no idea how to produce it?

I'm confused why the Order Details doesn't provide the information you need. An 'invoice' is a 'bill', which is provided to request payment ... and you've already paid. The Order Details is your proof of payment.

OP8 months agoThank you so much. I am sorry I intended to mean an official receipt bearing the ebay logo for tax purposes.

Mentor8 months agoThe Order Details ... combined with a copy of your statement from your payment source (like a credit card) ... should be sufficient 'Proof of payment' for the IRS. I have never seen ... or needed ... anything else.
The Order Details is your Receipt. It will have the seller's name on it, since you purchased the item from an individual seller.
Your credit card statement will show the payment as going to 'eBay Commerce'. The total will match up with the Order Details of the item in your Purchase History.
