I need advice on shipping a WWE Chair to someone who won my auction
I sold a WWE ringside PPV chair to someone who won my auction. It is an estimated 18 1/2 inches in width. I measured it and it is approximately 38-39 inches in height and about 4 inches in "depth". How do I get a package shipping container for something that size? It is a steel chair.

Congrats on the sale! Shipping a WWE ringside chair is definitely doable I always create custom boxes myself, usually I get lot packing materials from hundreds of local retailers — here’s how you can handle it:
1. Find a box:
Check your local U-Haul, Home Depot, or Lowe’s — they sell large moving boxes (like "large" or "extra large") that could fit the chair easily.
Another option is a golf club box — they are tall and narrow and can often fit chairs with a little modification.
2. Packing tips:
Fold the chair if it’s foldable (most WWE chairs are).
Wrap the chair carefully with bubble wrap or moving blankets to protect it from scratches.
If the box is too large, cut it down and resize it using heavy-duty packing tape.
3. Shipping services:
UPS Ground or FedEx Ground are usually the best for big/heavy items like this.
USPS might charge oversized fees, so avoid it unless the chair stays under their size limits (which is tight).
4. Dimensional weight warning:
Shipping prices are based not just on actual weight but also box size.
Try to keep the box as small and snug as possible to avoid extra shipping charges.
Quick Tip:
If you can't find a perfect box, you can join two large boxes together ("box Frankensteining") to make a custom size.
