During the covid-19 pandemic, the customer service agents were working from home, and, since eBay couldn't publish all their home phone numbers, they established a process where the users requested a call back, and the customer service agents would call them.
The pandemic has passed now, but eBay customer service continues the practice of user request and agent call back. I guess they liked it that way, or found it more inexpensive. Whatever. You still have to request them to call you. There's a place to do that at the bottom of the page at https://www.ebay.com/help/account/contact-ebay/contact-ebay?id=4379
But first, why not give us a shot at helping you with your problem? It has been my experience that you get more accurate answers from the experienced buyers and sellers that respond on this board, than you do from customer service. No offense intended to customer service.
