I made a video of the item being sent which does not appear the same as ....
So you might gather that things are pretty bad when I have to make videos showing the item while it's being packaged and carried to the mailbox.....but that's the extra I do now.
Recently I sold a screen. I placed it into a cardboard box and then into a bubble-wrapped envelope.
I even wrote FRAGILE on the front and FRAGILE DO NOT BEND on the back
My listing states no returns as do all of my listings. However the buyer claims he received the screen broken (which in regards to my handling is beyond the scope of my control because I do not own the usps).
So I have this great video and offered to send it to the buyer that is requesting a return because I noticed that his image of the frame is not the frame I sent to him. In fact, it appears that although the buyer has availed an image of the back (which is the correct screen and shows no damage) and an image of the cracked front, upon zooming into the image it was noticed that the frame appears to be not my frame.
So my "guess" is that this might be a fraudster buyer but I'm just wondering what the ebay forum "community?" might say to this :
1.) Despite the fact that my listing states no returns accepted, should I accept the return anyway (why)?
2.) Despite the buyer's images showing a different frame than that which was sent to him, should I accept the return (why)?
3.)

Mentor11 months agoOK, first off eBay will not look at any video you make since they can be faked and eBay has no way of confirming exactly when and how it was made. So save yourself the bother of doing this.
As to your questions. eBay provides buyers their Money Back Guaranty for 30 days from receipt of the item. If the buyer says that the item is not as described then eBay will side with the buyer since they never see the listed item. The buyer is the arbitrator of if the item is as described or not. So it they say it was broken in shipping then as far as eBay is concerned it way.
An "Item not as described" case overrules your No Returns policy. If you do not accept an "Item not as described" case within three days then eBay will force a refund from you and give your account a defect which is not good.
If you do accept the return and the item really is not yours you can let eBay know this since it is a violation of the Money Back Guaranty to make a false claim.

OP11 months agoThanks ebay personnel for answering my question as best as you are paid to (LOL).
Okay, you say that NO RETURNS is moot and therefore a fraud option?
Secondly you say the video I uploaded to youtube (you state it serves no good) . Contrarily, it has to be taken for honesty's sake because the back of the screen shown in my video of the item being packaged matches the back of the image submitted to ebay by the buyer (which by the way shows no damage).
Here's the video for your scrutiny (shall I pull images from the video to prove to you that the image the buyer has submitted is not the same as the FRONT screen sent by the buyer?).
By your reply is possibly proof that ebay facilitates this kind of response from my buyer:
"eBay will make you give a refund. I have been a seller since 2011. I know how it works"
Video evidence is useless to you? Hmmm....interesting, I wonder if someone committed a crime to a loved one in your home if you would find such an outrageous statement as still concrete in your mind.

P.S. I ASKED THE BUYER TWICE NOW TO TAKE A VIDEO WITH HIS PHONE TO SHOW THE FRONT AND THE BACK OF THE SCREEN.....that's when he replied with, "eBay will make you give a refund. I have been a seller since 2011. I know how it works"

We are not eBay employees, this is a peer to peer forum, we are sellers and buyers like you who volunteer our time to help fellow buyers and sellers.
No returns does not mean no refunds. The eBay Money Back Guarantee overrides you no returns policy. A no returns policy is only for remorse return requests, did not like it, does not fit, etc, not items that are not as described or arrive damaged. As @jacbarcollectibles said once a buyer opens a not as described claim you will have to accept it and refund the buyer. If you don't eBay will do it for you and give you a defect, it only takes a few of those for you to loose your selling privileges permanently.
eBay will not look at your video. This is not a court of law it is a he said she said situation and eBay will side with the buyer 99.9% of the time. If you are going to sell you need to understated how the eBay money back guarantee works. The buyer does not have to send you a video, pictures, etc.
Digging in your heels will not get you anywhere, accept the return and refund, if not eBay will do it for you. Either way your buyer will get the refund. Your only choice is if you damage your account or not.

OP11 months agoLisa, you question the authenticity of my video stating that it could have been made anytime or edited.
Not so.
Watch my video and you can see the actual shipping label to the buyer, his name, address, and even (yes even) the tracking number.
No of course you have no affiliation with ebay (or the plutocracy or military that runs everything and may be the reason that these frauds continue).
You sound so credible (like every other time I've ever posted a discrepency on this forum it sounds as if AI has need of another thread of conveyance.
Fraud breeds fraud.
Here's the evidence against fraud (but it's not regarded by ebay, great):
