That credit card must still be active. When a buyer makes payment, Ebay pings the payment source for approval on the amount that the buyer is trying to charge. The only way this purchase would go through is if the credit card company approved the charge.
It takes Ebay about another 24-48 hours to actually complete the process of literally getting the money from your Credit Card and into the seller's account.

If the payment went through, you’re fine. If it didn’t and shows “awaiting payment,†go to your account settings payment section and update your card here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list then complete the payment again.
