I just found out today the battery I bought is now under recall because it's defective
I recently bought a battery from eBay about 4 months ago. it is for my Mobility device i'm handicap and I needed to help me get around. Today I just received an email about it being recalled and not to use it cuz it's defective. When I bought it it had a 1-year warranty on it and I want to know how I can get my money back or get it replaced ,preferably replaced.

Mentor1 year agoManufacturers handle recalls not sellers. Only authorized dealers for a manufacturer will help in recalls but most sellers on eBay are not dealers for any manufacturer. eBay itself cannot help since they are just a listing site and do not provide any warranty for the items listed on the site other than their 30 day Money Back Guaranty.

If it is being recalled, you would need to contact the manufacturer.

OP1 year agoThank you for the quick response, but wouldn't the seller be responsible since they're the one who has the 12-month warranty advertised in the picture for the item I bought?

Sellers cannot provide warranties on their items unless they are an authorized dealer for the company that manufactures the item.
