I have lost all faith in ebay
Who else has? There is stealing that goes on. Stealing is taking. It isn't always by force. And there is libel, which is slander in written form. Untrue statements for the purpose of slowing your sales so someone else has the customers. Ebay does nothing about it. Hopefully Elon Musk will buy it and fix it.

OP2 years agoThe customer looked at the tracking and it showed awaiting shipment on the 12th. In other words, a shipping label was created and not shipped. Then it showed up the next day. This is a different customer with the same issue, delayed holiday shipping. And I am not talking about the one who **bleep**ed without cause. All he had to do was ask.
I am talking about people buying products have accounts for selling under a different name. They buy from their competitors and make derogatory comments. It goes on. I caught one because he had a slip on his fraud and put the order up from someone else he was lying about. Ebay has taken down about a dozen because I proved the lies, unequivocally. On one, they would not even though I proved it to be a false statement which ebay claims is not permitted. Again, this just happened 2 weeks ago. He made a false statement and I found him off ebay. He will have to defend himself in small claims for the max amount ($5000) for putting a lie in print to ruin my reputation. He changed his review after ebay said "he is entitled to his opinion". I agree. But he made false statements about the product (fitment). And as I said, he took it down.
You are doing a huge disservice to ebay by not standing up for what is right. All we want is free and honest markets. No stealing, no lying about your product you sell. No lying about what product you gave. Ebay is one of the worst sites now. I am here for the eyeballs. Temporarily .

Where are you seeing slander comments written about you? Your feedback reputation looks great. All but one buyer seems to be happy.
You have one neutral that will soon roll off your feedback that doesn't even impact your feedback percentage. Is that what you're referring to?

OP2 years agoI found the "buyer" off of ebay and pointed out the facts and he changed it. He lied when he changed it to try and protect himself. Rather than just say what is. I am taking him to court, but not for nearly as much as I will ebay. They (ebay) left falsified reputation up for a year.

OP2 years agoI need to edit. He changed the reputation from "It doesn't fit" to "Very good, fits perfectly " when it isn't in very good condition and I said as such. Ebay policy states they can't make false statements, and they let people do it anyway. They are actually stupid because their business is not growing like it should because of sellers leaving. Shipping is another. The seller is not responsible for what USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex do to packages. Ebay stating otherwise is irrelevant.

The seller IS responsible for what USPS, UPS, or FedEx do to packages. If an item is damaged in shipping, you need to file an insurance claim with the carrier to get your money back - after taking care of the buyer of course.
However, the buyer's complaint has nothing to do with item condition. He was pleased with the item. It was about the fact that you said the item was picked up by the carrier on the 22nd when tracking clearly shows it was dropped off on the 25th (5 days after you purchased the label). A photo of the tracking was posted as proof of what the buyer wrote.
Since he left a neutral feedback (not a negative), it had no impact on your feedback percentage.

OP2 years agoNo, I am not responsible for what they do. Ebay wanting it doesn't make it so. The post office does not accept damaged packages. If they damage it they inform the recipient (any mail) of what happened and how to file their claim. Just as an example.

OP2 years agoI'm not talking about that. And he is incorrect. The post office did not scan it in right away with the holiday. It was shipped right away. The very next customer had the same issue (Christmas). It showed I didn't ship it, and it arrived for him the next day. Mind your own business when you don't know what you are talking about. I have screen shots too, and ebay does not allow them to be posted. Probably at the behest of the CCP.
