I have charged $70 for a shipping adjustment.
I don’t know what to do, this hurts I’m a small little shop that sells here and there. The package supposedly was 58 pounds, I estimated 49. 23 x 18 x 13, I estimated 19x16x12 and initially paid $30.00 I figured I’d have maybe a 10-15 adjustment but $70.00?!? Is there anything I can do? Can eBay look into this? I am having a real hard time trying to get ahold of them.

You never estimate package sizes or weights, since that can throw off the shipping calculator's results. If the packages dimensions were closer to the first dimensions, it would qualify to be priced as Dimensional Weight shipping (DIM)
I am guessing that this happened with the listing for the Pokemon bulk lot you sold back in July. You set a fixed rate charge of $29.85 for a large and heavy box sent through FedEx. You should have used actual measurements and weight for the box, and used FedEx's calculator. Had you done that you would have gotten the DIM shipping cost.

You should also be careful about giving flat rate shipping prices these days, since shippers are raising rates due to higher fuel prices. Using ebay's shipping calculator your buyer will see the price of shipping from your location to theirs. However, you have to accurately measure and weigh the package with any packing materials used so you get accurate shipping rates.

OP1 month agoMy dimensional weight supposedly would have only been 45 pounds based off the carriers measurements, so I’m still “over weight” just $100.00 to ship from ID to AZ was a huge shock factor and super bummed. I can’t handle shipping adjustments like that. Like I said I knew their was going to be an adjustment just was not expecting a $70.00 increase. Thank you for you’re reply.
