I have an eBay account but made purchase as a guest - how to associate to my account?
I have an ebay account but made a purchase as a guest. Is there a way to associate the purchase under my old account vs. creating a new?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no way to connect an "anonymous" Guest Account with an established account. You can't even make a new account that will show you the details of that purchase. They will allow you to make the new account, of course, but it will not be connected to that purchase.
Even with a guest purchase, you are covered by the MBG and can track your order. Just make sure to log out completely and then click on the link in the confirmation email.

If you accidentally delete that email, or otherwise have no access to it, follow the instructions on that link to recreate the confirmation.

OP1 year agoUnfortunately I think the Seller scammed me - I can't contact the seller and sounds like the item is not covered by eBay policies (it was for 4 nights at a hotel). On the phone now with eBay customer support

I'm sorry to hear that 😞
If all else fails, you can do a chargeback with your financial institution.

Mentor1 year agoGuest purchases are kept totally separate from any purchase made with your account. If you have a problem with the item you need to log in with the special log in instructions given in the confirmation email you received when you purchased the item. eBay provides no way to move the purchase to your account.
