The error message sounds like eBay thinks there is a phone number or other contact information in the actual listing, or that you are selling something that requires a password.
Here are things to look for and edit to solve this:
1) Does your description mention "PayPal" if so, remove that.
2) Do you have a website URL, an email address, or a phone number in the description, the item specifics, or in the photos?
If so, remove those.
3) A series of 7 or 10 numbers that looks like a phone number?
4) An @ sign in the description?
5) A misplaced period example fitbit.ly lets go.to the mall
6) The word PO Box, Street, Avenue, or other things that could be part of an address, like a City and State?
7) If you copied and pasted the description, there can be a URL hidden in the text. I can explain how to remove that if needed.
Here are the policies that apply

OP9 months agoThank you! I am new to ebay- this is a bit of a jolt to get right out of the start gate. It seemed I had referenced a fit chart in my description -ended up rewriting the description to clear the violation, checked and rechecked all the settings - finally. This is a helpful list- I will hang onto it. I appreciate the reply - Thank you

OP8 months agoHello!
It seems ebay took money for an item I already sold! Not sure how it remained on the available list!
Now what! Thanks so much!

Go through the active listings and verify that you have each and every item on hand, and the correct qty of each item.
If you end and relist MQ listings, the qty goes back to the original qty, not your current balance.
It looks to me like you had a variation listing with a 6 pack and a 4 pack.
I can see 2 sales, but I don't know which variation sold.
You will have to cancel the sale and refund the buyer.
-- Here is a help page where you can learn more, and you can cancel right here, just click the picture of your item and follow the steps.
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/sellers-can-cancel-order?id=4136
The reason will be "Out Of Stock".
That is a defect on your account, eBay doesn't like to see buyers disappointed. Always make sure your inventory is correct on eBay.

OP8 months agoThank you - I only had 2 to sell - and qty 1 for each -so I am not sure what happened! It does not show in active listing since both sold.
I could not find my original listing - but it looks like you did!
Thank you for the link to the cancellation - you made it so easy -
I am grateful you are there!
