I have a customer who just bought an $800+ and he asks me to delay shipment for a few days.
He is out of country at the moment and wishes to be there when it is delivered. That's fine with me, but how do I avoid a late shipment strike?

Mentor1 year agoThere is nothing you can do to avoid the late shipment mark if you delay shipping. Even if the customer requests it, eBay will hold you responsible for late shipping.
They tell us they give us a cushion to account for circumstances like this. Personally, I would not do it and would expect the buyer to wait to purchase or make accommodations with the carrier or a friend/neighbor to get the package, but that is based on what I sell and how I sell.
You have to decide if you want to look at a late shipment mark for several months to help this buyer.
