I received an payment approved email supposedly from ebay.
How can I tell if this is fraud. I feel like it might be

Mentor5 months agoThat message was not from eBay; it was from a SCAMMER. You are a new seller with some expensive items. Be sure to only ship when it shows here https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:AWAITING_SHIPMENT

It is fraud. You have not been paid. Asking a seller to include a gift card is a common scam tactic to get money from the seller without paying.
eBay does not have a way for a buyer to pay extra for a gift card. Scammers will try to send you a fake "you have been paid -- ship now" notice if you share your contact information prior to payment being made.
